This Memorial Day weekend in New Jersey there’s an international kite festival in Wildwood, a choral concert in the tiny town of Stanton and a huge rock extravaganza featuring New Jersey’s own Bon Jovi at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford. Here are our choices for the best things to do in New Jersey this weekend.
Our list of events this weekend is quite thin to put it mildly. It seems that everyone avoids planning any event for the big holiday weekends. We know that there are hundreds of small towns like Frenchtown that have their own home grown Memorial Day Parades and patriotic events to honor our Veterans but the problem is that these types of events are generally not publicised very well. In Frenchtown hometown earlier this week it seemed nobody knew what time the parade was supposed to start. In order to help any of you that might have questions, we formed a new Memorial Day in Jersey Group on BestofNJ.com. You can go there and tell us all how your community celebrates the day or ask a question about other celebrations in other towns.
