December 28, 2013, Today we’re updating our Guide to New Year’s Eve in New Jersey. We are making some big changes in our feature. As we add to the New Year’s Eve guide, we will add more special events from restaurants, clubs, and resorts. We just found out that some of our favorite events are already sold out, so we are adding a section at the end of the article that highlights parties that you might want to plan early and buy your tickets early for 2015.

South Jersey New Year’s Eve Celebrations
Camden County New Year’s Eve
Battleship New Jersey Overnight Encampment, Camden, $64.95 per person Ring in the New Year with an entirely different type of experience, staying overnight on the Battleship New Jersey. You’ll enjoy one of the best views of the fireworks over the Delaware River from the decks of The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial. Tickets are 64.95 per person and dinner, a chow-line breakfast, a tour of the ship, and a ride in the 4D Flight Simulator are included.
New Year’s Eve Kids Kazoo Parade, Collingswood, Free Take the kids out for a chance to toot their own horn or their own kazoo. The Pop Shop in Collingswood will be holding their 5th annual kazoo parade this year. All the kids will be given kazoos at the restaurant and the parade will start at 4:15 p.m. Mummers from a local string band will lead the children down the street where a New Year’s Eve Countdown will be held and cookies will be served. The restaurant will be serving dinner that night till 10:00 p.m.
Salem County New Year’s Eve
Ye Olde Centerton Inn, Pittsgrove, Holiday Menu, entrees @ $17.00 to 38.00 This historic inn has been in continuous operation since 1706. For New Year’s Eve their holiday menu features a prime rib for $28.00, a filet mignon for $34.50, and a salmon Wellington for $25.00.

The Manor Restaurant, West Orange, $69.95 to $145.00 per person: The Manor has been hosting weddings and special occasions since 1956. It is situated on a 20-acre estate with manicured gardens and is next to Eagle Rock Reservation. Casa Dante, Jersey City, $150.00 per person Dante will be featuring an extravagant affair with dinner, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and more. The 4-course dinner includes highlights like: a roasted beet carpaccio, Kumamoto oysters, chitarra alla bolognese, pork osso buco, lemon sole, and halibut filet. Crystal Springs Resort, Vernon, $25.00 to $345.00 per person Crystal Springs has a multitude of celebrations that they are featuring for New Year’s Eve. You can pay as little as a $25.00 cover charge for the party at Kites restaurant which features a DJ, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. Hunterdon County Area New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve at Luca’s Ristorante, Flemington, $59.00 Tre Piani is celebrating the new year with a 4-course prix fixe dinner that includes highlights like a lobster ravioli appetizer, Chilean sea bass, filet mignon and eggnog flan. This dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. They will also be open on New Year’s Day.
Lovin Oven, Frenchtown, $65.00 The Oven, located next door to Two Buttons (of Eat, Pray, Love Fame), is famous for a laid back funky vibe, home-baked goods, creative casual dining and a vegetarian-friendly menu. The dinner includes such highlights as stuffed avocado, pumpkin lemongrass soup, filet mignon, scallops, and kumquat chocolate bark. There will be live music and on New Year’s Day, the Oven features a hangover brunch from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
New Year’s Eve at the Indian Rock Inn, Upper Black Eddy, $150.00 per couple The Rock is not in the state but it is one of the only places in Pennsylvania where you can see the sun set on New Jersey. This historic inn is located 5 minutes north of Milford on the Delaware River. For New Year’s Eve, the restaurant is featuring an extravagant celebration with a DJ, a 6-course dinner and a champagne toast for $150.00 per couple. The Hogmanay Bonfire, Lawrenceville: Free The Hogmanay Bonfire has been a Lawrence Historical Society tradition for 16 years. Hogmanay is a Scottish New Year’s celebration that has it roots in Pagan tradition. The celebration involves creating a list of all the bad things you want to forget about the past year and bring it to the fire. Toss it in the giant flames and watch it burn. Trenton New Year’s Eve Concert, Trenton: $25.00 The New Jersey Capital Philharmonic will host their annual New Year’s Eve concert this year at the Patriot’s Theatre at the War Memorial. The State Theatre, Salute to Vienna Concert, New Brunswick: Tickets, $47.00 to $227.00 The State Theatre celebrates the New Year with a Salute to Vienna called the most elegant New Year’s concert in the world. Inspired by Vienna’s famous Neujahrskonzert (New Year’s Concert), this N.J. New Year’s Eve tradition returns to the State for 2013. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31st. The concert features 75 musicians, singers, and dancers performing popular Strauss waltzes, polkas, and operetta excerpts. New Year’s Eve Fireworks, New Brunswick: Free New Brunswick celebrates the coming of the new year at midnight with a fireworks display sponsored by The Restaurant Guys. The display is staged by Garden State Fireworks at midnight at Monument Square Park. In previous years, the fireworks were shot off the roof of the Heldrich Hotel. The park is located at Livingston Avenue and George Street. Some local restaurants are serving a-la-carte menus and the local bars will be serving champagne.
Somerset County New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve at David Burke Fromagerie, Rumson, $105.00 David Burke is ringing in the new year with an exquisite 4 course dinner that includes your champagne toast.
